Project Scope
The Oyster Box required an upgrade in terms of its software-defined wireless networking and viewing experience. VOD Group was approached to provide a solution that would elevate the guest experience and upgrade the hotel’s technological infrastructure to meet contemporary standards.

Our goal was to deliver a seamless end-to-end user experience while ensuring compliance with policy and security standards. We achieved this through the implementation of 3 key solutions:

High Speed Internet Access (HSIA)
The key advantage of our modern HSIA solution is the ability to customise and tailor the service to the specific needs of the hotel and its guests. This includes bandwidth management tools and priority queues which can be used to prioritise certain types of traffic, such as video streaming or online gaming. This helps hoteliers manage their property Wi-Fi and assists them to meet client expectations by providing the best possible user experience. -
Interactive TV Solution
The implementation of interactive TV software solutions in hotels greatly enhances the guest experience by providing a more personalised and engaging entertainment experience through customised content, on-demand viewing, interactive features, convenient access to hotel services and cast-to-tv capabilities. This digitally enhanced guest experience leads to increased guest satisfaction and loyalty, which is essential for hotels to remain competitive in the ever-evolving hospitality industry. -
Cast-to-tv (Chromecast)
With our Chromecast cast-to-tv solution, guests can now easily cast their favourite content onto the large TV screens in their hotel rooms with exceptional quality. They can stream their personal content in 4k or 1080p HDR, access all their entertainment options in one place, and take full control of the TV using voice commands. This provides a home-like viewing experience which increases the guest’s comfort and satisfaction during their stay.

The Result

Through the implementation of a centralised on-site system, VOD Group substantially enhanced network performance, providing guests with an updated and improved experience to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
